TNI Commander Hadi Tjahjanto Reviews Location of TNI Base in Papua

INDUSTRY.co.id - Papua - In a series of working visits in eastern Indonesia precisely the province of Papua, TNI Commander Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto, SIP, accompanied by General Chief of TNI Mulyono, Marshal Air Force Yuyu Sutisna and Wakasal Laksdya TNI Taufiqoerrochman also had the opportunity to review the location or area to be used as base TNI in West Papua, Friday (2/2/2018).

After landing in Lanud Timika, TNI Commander Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto and his entourage reviewed the location to be built as a base of TNI forces in eastern Indonesia, namely the Air Force Operations Command Headquarters (Makoopsau) III, Infantry 3 / Kostrad Division Headquarters and Pasmar Command Headquarters 3 Corps Marines located in Biak District, as well as Navy Armada III Headquarters, continued to visit the Marine Battalion Defense Base (Yonmarhanlan) XIV Sorong, West Papua.

TNI Chief of Military Commander Hadi Tjahjanto said that the proposed development plan for the TNI base has been included in the TNI Strategic Plan (Renstra) in order to meet the Minimum Essential Force (MEF).

"Hopefully the development can be realized soon, so it will increase the strength of the TNI in guarding and maintaining the sovereignty of the territory of the Unitary Republic of Indonesia (NKRI) in Papua and West Papua Provinces," said TNI Hadi Tjahjanto.
