INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - The Integrated Shelter Oriented Development (TOD), which is mostly developed by developers of State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs), is regretted by private developers.

Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi said the government actually hopes that the private sector can also play a role in the project.

According to him, so far there have been some private parties who have been invited to communicate to develop this TOD-based dwelling.

"So we can build a Terminal of Poris Plawad, we will make the Cooperation of the Government Business Entity (KPBU), and the LRT and MRT we will invite the private sector," Budi said in a discussion in Jakarta on Wednesday (14/2/2018). ) then.

Meanwhile, private developers who are members of the Association of Real Estate Companies of Indonesia (REI) want to be involved in the cultivation of the TOD dwelling.

"The area passed by the LRT and MRT networks is vast, we want to be involved in the development," said Budiarsa Sastrawinata, Honorary President of International Urban Development Association (INTA).

According to him, even if within the TOD there is indeed a residential unit for Low Income Communities (MBR), REI member developers also have a lot of specialization in the field, just adjust to the incentives that can be given such as tax relief.

As is known, the current TOD project in the center of the city worked by state-owned companies. Such as Perum Perumnas who work on TOD Station Tanjung Barat, TOD Station Pondok China and TOD Bogor Station, or PT PP Property (Persero) TBk who work on TOD Juanda Station and TOD Tanah Abang Station. While Adhi Karya also works a number of TOD project titled LRT City in several stations.
