Succeed With Program 1 Million House, Bank BTN Holds BTN Mortgtech Hackaton Competition

This time with the support of DailySocial, Bank BTN held the BTN Mortgtech (mortgage technology) Hackathon Competition. This is the first hackathon mortgage technology competition in Indonesia.

The application development competition is held to find talents that qualified in information technology development (Information and Technology / IT) in the field of finance (financial) and housing (mortgage).

 "Through BTN Mortgtech, we are trying to answer the needs of the Indonesian people, especially the younger generation of housing, while providing opportunities for talented people in Indonesia to explore their talent," said Maryono, President Director of Bank BTN, in Jakarta on Monday (19/02/2018).

Maryono is optimistic that this competition will generate many innovations for various applications that support the development of mortgage loans in Indonesia so as to respond to the needs of the young generation and in line with the vision of BTN, especially in order to support the One Million House Program.

"We are continuously trying to spur the achievement of the One Million House Program. Moreover, the number of home backlog in Indonesia is still high. To support the success of the program, Bank BTN this year is targeted to provide housing loans for 750,000 housing units.

To achieve the target, so Maryono, Bank BTN continues to transform by developing new technology, especially for KPR. Through BTN Mortgtech, Maryono hopes that Bank BTN can answer various challenges of rapid technological development especially in the field of KPR.

To participate in this competition, candidates can register through btnhackathon.id channel. Registration opens from February 15, 2018 to March 17, 2018. In this competition, Bank BTN also prepares a total prize of Rp200 million until the opportunity to Silicon Valley.

Maryono explained, BTN Mortgtech event will include two main events, meetup roadshow and hackathon. Meetup Roadshow will be held in three cities, namely in Jakarta on February 27, 2018, Malang on March 6, 2018, and Yogyakarta on March 8, 2018. In the event, a meeting will be held directly with local developers in Indonesia.

Then at hackathon titled BTN Mortgtech, the selected finalists will follow the hackathon with the theme "Mortgage Technology First". The peak event will be held in Jakarta on March 24-25, 2018.

Meanwhile, the business line of digital banking Bank BTN continues to move positively. Bank BTN's financial data captures a surge in transaction value growth through SMS or mobile banking and internet banking networks.

As of December 2017, the transaction value of SMS or mobile banking services of Bank BTN jumped 59.23% year-on-year (year-on-year / yoy). Through the internet banking network, Bank BTN per December 2017 recorded a jump in transaction value of 108.47% compared to the same period in the previous year.

With this performance, As of December 2017, Bank BBTN recorded 26.8% growth of fee based income (FBI) from digital banking to Rp102.4 billion compared to the same period in the previous year of Rp80.76 billion. (Abraham Sihombing)
