Mandiri Syariah Is Ready to Sell Retail Sukuk Sector SR-010

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - Mandiri Syariah expects to sell Retail Sukuk Sector (SR) 010 up to Rp500 billion. SR-010 begins entering the booking period from 23 February to 14 March 2018.

SR-010 is a State Sharia Securities (SBSN) or state sukuk sold to individual Indonesian investors in the primary market. SR-010 is issued in rupiah currency and marketed through sellers who have been appointed by the government.

The Government through the Ministry of Finance has appointed 22 selling agents, including Mandiri Syariah. "Alhamdullilah, we have gained the trust of the Government as Retail Sukuk Selling Agent since it first appeared from SR-001 to the latest series, SR-010 series," said Edwin Dwidjajanto,

Distribution and Services Director Mandiri Syariah. Booking SR 010 can be done in all branches of BSM in Indonesia.

The issuance date of SR-010 is March 21, 2018. With a three-year tenor, SR-010 will mature on March 10, 2021. To date the government has not announced an indicative return or a share of SR-010.

Edwin Dwidjajanto added like previous retail sukuk, SR-010 has a nominal value per unit Rp1 million, minimum investment per participant is Rp 5 million and maximum Rp 5 billion.

"This time we provide a special feature for customers that is free insurance for Rp25 million in the form of self-accident protection for two months" added Edwin.

Based on historical data, the majority of Retail Sukuk investors in BSM are housewives and private and pensioners.

He stated, SR-010 can be a recruiter product in increasing the number of new customers. The addition of new customers will give impact of the series or multiplier effect on the sale of other Mandiri Syariah products.

"Investors can sell SR-010 in the secondary market after holding at least one period of profit sharing (coupon) as our selling agent is ready to be a standby buyer in the secondary market," said Edwin.

He explains, every year the trend of investors who buy Retail State Sukuk in Mandiri Syariah increased. No wonder because this type of investment instrument, safe and secure, easy process, affordable, prospects good, and in accordance with the principles of sharia.

In the previous year for instrument SR-009, Mandiri Syariah booked sales of Rp508 billion with 2,331 customers.

"In addition, through SR-010 we can directly directly contribute to the development of the State" concludes Edwin.
