INDUSTRY.co.id - Bojonegoro - President Joko Widodo is scheduled to harvest the highway corn maize 2017 plant and handover of credit business people (KUR) in Ngimbang Village, Tuban, East Java, Friday (9/3/2018).

In the forest area of Ngimbang Village, Palang Subdistrict, 7.5 hectares of maize cultivation land is managed by 17 members of forest village community institutions (LMDH) with an intercropping system.

"The yield of corn in the forest area of KPH Tuban reaches 4.5 tons of dry kililan per hectare," he said.

He mentioned KPH Tuban has a forest area of 28,602.8 hectares with the largest location in Tuban, Lamongan and Gresik.

"In the forest area of KPH Tuban, for corn plant area about 6,000-7,000 hectares per year," he explained.

According to data from the Agriculture Agency of Tuban, corn production is not only localized but also delivered to various regions in East and Central Java.

Management of forest areas for corn crops, he continued, has been running since the Dutch era until now.

"According to Tuban Agriculture Department data, corn production in Tuban forest area is the largest in East Java," he said.

In Ngimbang Village, Palang Subdistrict, he continued, President Joko Widodo, will also submit a social forestry certificate for forest farmers in various KPHs in East Java.

He added that in the corn harvest event that will be attended by President Joko Widodo it will also be followed by LMDH members from various KPH in East Java. "LMDH KPH Bojonegoro will also be present," he said.

In addition, the president will also hand over the people's business credit (KUR). "The extent of the certificates of forestry given social is still calculated, but the location, among others in Bojonegoro, Malang, and Blitar," he told the media crew.

Based on the agenda of the visit, the day before, in Gresik President Joko Widodo will hand over the smart Indonesian card (KIP) and family hope program (PKH) in GOR Tridharma. Meanwhile, in Lamongan will submit a land certificate.
