INDUSTRY.co.id - Denpasar - Chairman of National Bureau of Amil Zakat Bambang Sudibyo said Baznas slowly clean up so that state agencies that take care of zakat can be immediately overseen by the Financial Services Authority (OJK).
According to him, if Baznas has been overseen by OJK then the transparency and public trust will increase on the agency.
"For example, Baznas at the central level is ready to be supervised by OJK.In some provincial and district Baznas also have," said Bambang at Rakernas Baznas 2018 in Sanur, Bali, Thursday (22/3/2018).
Readiness to supervise the OJK, he said, for example, Baznas central and a number of regional Baznas have received an audit from the Supreme Audit Agency with unqualified opinion (WTP).
"But not all Baznas, there are elements of Baznas that have not been audited in a year and year," he said.
Bambang said Baznas to be supervised by OJK can start from the central level.
One of the benefits Baznas overseen OJK, he said, is an amil agency can be equivalent to sharia financial institutions that have transparent financial statements.
"If OJK has been supervised then the distribution of public zakat to Baznas will soar," he said.
Nevertheless, he said the ideals Baznas OJK supervised it still takes time because the readiness of the institution has not one hundred percent view the agency is very large.
He said it was working for all Baznas at all levels to be institutional ready for OJK supervision.
Currently, he said, the management of Baznas is audited by public accounting firm but not yet registered in OJK.
Regarding the readiness of Baznas to be registered with OJK, he said that the company is currently seeking to have a joint commitment to immediately register in the state institutions overseeing financial services in Indonesia.
