Central Java Ready to Supply Red Onion and Chili To Jakarta During Ramadhan

INDUSTRY.co.id - Central Java - Following the direction of Agriculture Minister Andi Amran Sulaiman to ensure that the supply of shallots and chili to Jakarta Capital City in Ramadhan and Idul Fitri 2018 is sufficient, Director General of Horticulture Ministry of Agriculture, Suwandi checks the readiness of onion and chili production in Central Java, Thursday (04/12/2010).

The need of chilli during Ramadan to Lebaran in DKI Jakarta is May-June 2018 for onion around 122 tons per day and various chilis range 100 tons per day. This need will be supplied mainly from West Java, Central Java and parts of East Java," explained Suwandi in Central Java, Thursday (12/4/2018).

Suwandi asserted that "our readiness to check and monitor to Central Java is ready to supply to Jakarta, such as from Brebes, Demak, Pati Grobogan, Magelang and others"

One of the onion areas is in Demak with distribution in several subdistricts of Gajah, Mijen, Demak, Dempet, Wedung and Karanganyar. "Demak area of ​​May 2018 onion harvest will be 1,279 hectares with 9,713 ton of 312 tons per day," said Ir. Wibowo Head of Agriculture Office of Demak Regency.

"For chili in May will be harvested 105 hectares with production of 239 tons equivalent supply of 8 tons per day" explains Wibowo.

Meanwhile, in Grobogan also has prepared ready to be harvested in May-June 2018 for 173 hectares of onion and 119 hectares of chili.

"From the harvested area, Grobogan is ready to supply 25 tons of onion and 16 tons of chili per day" said Imam Sudigdo, Head of Horticulture, Grobogan District Agricultural Service.

Kurds, farmers champion of shallots Grobogan Regency said "here the red onion spread in District Klambu, Penawangan, Ngangringan and Tanggungharjo, productivity 8-9 tons per hectare and the price in good farmers ranged from 20,000-24.000 perkg.

"The champion farmers of Central Java are ready to supply to DKI and the suggestion that there are stalls in Jakarta market" he pleaded.

In Blora district there is also chili center. Puji Ariyanto Head of Horticulture, Department of Agriculture and Food Security of Blora Regency said "onion productivity in Blora 10 tons perhaktare and ready to supply 6 tons per day".

"As for chili productivity 9 tons perhektar and ready to supply 8 tons per day" he explained.
