INDUSTRY.co.id - Yogyakarta - Facing the rapid flow of technology, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Ignasius Jonan explained the leadership strategy to apply leaders in various regions to be able to continue to adapt to the times.

"We cannot withstand the times, so we have to 'evolve', not 'revolution' but 'evolution', from reactive to proactive, that's the key," said Jonan at the Coordination Meeting on Regional Development Control of the Special Province of Yogyakarta (DIY) in Yogyakarta, Wednesday (18/4/2018).

According to Jonan, in addition to having followers, more important for a leader is the result. "Show me what results have been achieved, no need to tell at length about the process again, its part way of life, the important results, not popularity.If you have to choose popular or results, I prefer the results," he continued.

In addition, Jonan advised the leaders of DPRD, Bupati / Walikota, and heads of agencies / agencies in Yogyakarta who are present to be able to provide a real example. "To be able to transfer knowledge to others of different ages, reduce the gap, the key is to give a real example," says Jonan.

According to Jonan, it is very important for leaders to set an example for their subordinates. Leaders must also define short-term success targets as part of the organizational transformation process.

And lastly, leadership is not about rank, title, or money, but leadership is about responsibility. "A bit of responsibility, but solved to the threshold, not too many visions, too many studies but simple organizational problems just not resolved," said Minister Jonan.
