PBNU Cursed Three Churches Bombings in Surabaya

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - General Chairman of the Nahdlatul Ulama Board Said Aqil Siradj condemned the bombing in three separate churches in the city of Surabaya.

"Condemn and condemn all acts of terrorism, whatever the motive and background," he said in Jakarta, Sunday (13/05/2018)

He said the series of events that show radicalism, let alone in the name of religion, is very apprehensive and slicing the heart.

He said all sorts of acts using violence, let alone who in the name of religion by spreading terror, hatred and violence are not the hallmarks of the Islamic teachings that "rahmatan lil alamin".

"Islam condemns all forms of violence, and there is not even a single religion in the world that justifies violent ways in life," he said.

PBNU, he said, conveyed a deep sense of condolence to the families of victims of the disaster that is being experienced. Everything that happens is a destiny of destiny and we must accept it with full attitude of maturity, roomy chest, fortitude and patience.

He fully supports the efforts and steps of the security forces to investigate quickly and thoroughly the motives, patterns and movements that trigger the occurrence of such events.

Terrorism movement, he said, has become increasingly rampant, it requires more intensive special handling from various parties, mainly through security.

Chairman PBNU invites all citizens of Indonesia to unite to refrain, not provoked and continue to raise the solidarity of humanity as well as reject all forms of violence.

"If we find the smallest event that leads to radicalism and terrorism report it immediately to the security apparatus. Any violent matter is in fact contrary to the teachings of Islam and even contrary to any religious teachings," he said.
