Perum Jamkrindo Works on Suretyship Semen Baturaja

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (SOE) Rini Soemarno attended the signing of Cooperation Agreement between Perum Jamkrindo and PT Semen Baturaja (Persero) Tbk related to the guarantee of suretyship online.

The signing was done by President Director of Perum Jamkrindo Randi Anto and President Director of PT. Semen Baturaja (Persero) Tbk Rahmad Pribadi was also witnessed by the Deputy of the Ministry of SOEs in the field of Financial Services, Survey and Consultant Service of the Ministry of SOE, Gatot Trihargo; Deputy of Energy Business, Logistics, Regions and Tourism Ministry of SOE, Edwin Hidayat Abdullah; Deputy of Construction and Transportation Facilities and Infrastructure of the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises, Ahmad Bambang; and also Assistant Deputy for Financial Services Business, Survey Services and Consultant I Ministry of SOEs, Bandung Pardede.

In his speech, Rini said that the importance of synergy among state-owned companies to improve efficiency, in addition, with synergy can also improve inequality and to state economic welfare in all regions in Indonesia and become agents of development

"SOEs should not only think about profits, but how to help build the environment and contribute to the development of the Indonesian economy," he said in Jakarta, Thursday (17/05/2018).

President Director of Perum Jamkrindo, Randi Anto, said this cooperation is one form of breakthrough in terms of synergy SOEs. "The scope of Cooperation Agreement (PKS) is a business cooperation to optimize business activities," said Randi Anto. The online suretyship guarantee cooperation consists of Bid Security, Execution Guarantee, Advance Payment, and Maintenance Guarantee.

With the existence of online suretyship, the recipient of the work or vendor PT Semen Baturaja (Persero) Tbk no longer need to come to the office nearest Perum Jamkrindo to apply for guarantee. A total of 300 vendors are enough to come to PT Semen Baturaja (Persero) Tbk to fill the digital form independently. "With the breakthrough, the process of guarantee submission becomes easier and more efficient, so in the management of tender documents the contractors will be helped by the presence of Perum Jamkrindo in providing services to guarantee the project in the same time and place at the office of PT Semen Baturaja (Persero) Tbk, "he said.

Randi added that this cooperation is a strategic step to optimize the utilization of business potential to increase the synergy and the smoothness of business activities of both parties with the principle of mutual benefit. Perum Jamkrindo can target the potential of guarantee volume from PT Semen Baturaja (Persero) Tbk's Capex and Opex value, meanwhile PT Semen Baturaja (Persero) gets better control and data base management. "Because there is a digital track record, of course the databases are better. PT Semen Baturaja (Persero) Tbk can more easily monitor which projects are not guaranteed, thereby increasing the optimization of capital expenditure absorption, "he said.

In Perum Jamkrindo, business lines for suretyship and non-bank guarantee are still very potential. Recorded volume of Suretyship and Underwriting Guarantee in 2017 reached Rp 27.44 trillion or 20.27% of the total underwriting at Perum Jamkrindo amounting to Rp 135.36 trillion.

 With the cooperation, he hopes the synergy and collaboration with PT Semen Baturaja (Persero) Tbk is getting stronger. Randi hopes that the breakthrough that has been Perum Jamkrindo can be applied in the SOE companies and other private companies. "This cooperation is an important milestone to support synergies that have a greater impact," he said.
