INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - PT Semen Baturaja Tbk (SMBR) continues to increase its contribution in government-owned infrastructure projects.

President Director of PT Semen Baturaja Tbk, Rahmad Pribadi, said that the government projects currently being undertaken by the company are toll road construction projects, MRT and sports facilities for the Asian Games in South Sumatra.

"The company contributes 100% to LRT Palembang and this Asian Games facility," Rahmad said at the Indonesia Stock Exchange Building (IDX), Tuesday (8/8/2017).

For that reason, he remains optimistic about the company's growth amid the competition in the cement industry in Indonesia considering the company is currently doing efficiency on the cost of distribution and logistics.

"Efficiency is supported by the synergy of SOEs such as transportation by train owned by PT KALOG (Railway Logistics)," Rahmad said.

Meanwhile, sales of cement in South Sumatera are still relatively good, supported by sales in Jambi and Bengkulu areas, which grew by 54% and 29% respectively.

So the company targets the sales volume of cement to reach 2 million tons and revenues worth Rp1, 83 trillion or 23% and 20% respectively. Compared to 2016 and EBITDA Rp580 billion grew 38% compared to last year.
