Social Minister: President Directive All Indonesia Must Have ODGJ Institution

INDUSTRY.co.id - Sukabumi - Social Minister Idrus Marham said that central and local governments and businesses need to work together to deal with people with mental disorders (ODGJ).
"The direction of their President should be taken care of together with local government, central government, and entrepreneurs through their CSR," said Minister of Social Affairs while reviewing the Aura Welas Asih Mental Social Rehabilitation Palabuhanratu Sukabumi, West Java, Friday (5/25/2018)
At the review, Social Minister handed over Rp80 million of aid for food for 112 ODGJ handled by the institution.
The self-managed orphanage that occupies the former venue of SMP Pelayaran Palabuhanratu is lent by the local government.
"Related to this building the status of local government loans, I said before the local government has prepared 2,000 ha of land manager then immediately prepare the draft and later we are together urun rembug immediately resolved," he said.
Given the limited condition, Social Minister who was accompanied by Directorate General of Social Rehabilitation of Ministry of Social Affairs Edi Suharto invites all parties to do their best in handling ODGJ.
"We do not want to let them roam the streets, the country should be there," said the Minister.
The donated aid is said Idrus, to ensure food to the ODGJ in the Aura of Welas Asih. While the building where ODGJ in Panti Aura Welas Asih still the status of loan from the Local Government of Sukabumi.
Information obtained Idrus said; local governments have prepared land for the construction of the orphanage. Later the party is required to prepare the required image and fund details. Furthermore, it will be done so that the development can be completed immediately.
'' Because here there are 112 people with mental disorders, '' said Idrus. He admitted touched see the condition ODGK because it is not the will occupy the place.
Therefore, Idrus said, the government does the best how to take care and take steps in rehabilitation. Hope they can get back to normal. However, Idrus admitted that the budget for handling ODGJ exists but not many or limited. Moreover the number of ODGJ more and more day. Their existence said Idrus still must be managed jointly both local and central government.
So continued Idrus, the government will not let them roam the middle of the road. So the state must be present to make policies that support ODGJ handling. Chairman of the Aura Foundation of Compassion Deni Solang said it was grateful to Ministry of Social who had visited the orphanage.
"This is a form of government concern for ODGJ and free of statues," he added.
The government has targeted Free Indonesia Pasung in 2019. Currently there are still many ODGJ that dipasung and not get good handling.
According to Mensos, the government has a strong commitment to achieve the target.
Director General of Social Rehabilitation Edi Suharto said the government's efforts to tackle the free target is to work with the Ministry of Health to ensure that medicines for ODGJ are met.
"Those who are put on average because the ODGJ is still active, sometimes attacking also need medication, we also approach with the local government," said Edi.
