Sergap Team absorbs 3,295 Ton of Rice in Central Java

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - After the Eid al-Fitr 2018, Sergap Team in Central Java headed by the Head of Food and Beverage Distribution Center BKP of the Ministry of Agriculture, Riwantoro, Friday (22/6) went straight to boost the realization of procurement of grain / rice, and managed to absorb 3,295 tons of rice through Perum Bulog Subdivre Semarang and Pati.

"In this period of acceleration is no longer the time of discussion, but the work-Sergap-ready," said Riwantoro when witnessing the signing of purchase orders Bulog in the two areas.

Riwantoro further said, in 2018 this Central Java has a target of 362 thousand tons of rice. Of the January-June target of 300 thousand tons, only reached 112 thousand tons or about 37%. As for June, Central Java rice production is estimated to reach 800 thousand tons, so Sergap in Central Java this month has the potential of 77 thousand tons or an average of about 2,500 tons of rice equivalent per day.

Some areas with the largest daily absorption potential of June 2018 are Grobogan (350 tons), Sragen (300 tons), Pati (270 tons), Demak (250 tons), and Blora (200 tons).

Riwantoro hopes the synergy of the Ministry of Agriculture, Bulog, TNI, Provincial and District Government, and other elements can continue to be followed up both in Subdivre Pekalongan and Banyumas.

Bulog Sub Division Head of Semarang, Gatot Endro said, will strive for the target can be achieved before September 2018.
