INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - PT Pertamina EP Asset 1 Rantau Field, Aceh Tamiang crude oil production until September 2018 exceeded the target of 2,730 Oil Per Day Barrels (BOPD) to 3,215 bopd.

PT Pertamina EP Asset 1 Field Manager Rantau Field Hari Widodo, in a written statement received by Antara in Jakarta, Tuesday (9/18/2018) explained that the upstream oil and gas business activities in Aceh Tamiang recorded quite good performance.

Until mid-September 2018 oil and gas production from PT Pertamina EP Asset 1 Rantau Field had exceeded the target set.

Until September 10, 2018, PEP Rantau oil production reached 3,215 bopd from the target of 2,730 bopd. While the realization of gas production reached 3.9 mmscfd from the target of 3.4 mmscfd.

The oil and gas production, continued Hari Widodo, came from the management of 144 active wells, consisting of 105 production wells plus 38 injection wells.

To withstand the natural decline, management has carried out reparations, reopening, reactivating suspended wells, conducting cased whole logging and implementing waterflood.

These results indicate the potential of the reservoir in the Rantau Field is still very promising to exploit, even though it has been produced since 1928, but it can still produce oil with a fairly large production rate.

"Looking at the quite satisfying production achievements at this time, it is expected that the production at Rantau Field will be better and give blessings to PT Pertamina EP Rantau Field and the community around the operating area," he explained.
