INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi regretted the incident of the Indonesian flag in the 2017 Malaysia SEA Games handbook. Retno said Indonesia has taken official steps by sending diplomatic notes to Malaysia.

"Firstly we are very sorry that the incident can happen, I have communicated with Foreign Minister of Malaysia and we will also send diplomatic notes," said Retno, at Pusdiklat Kemlu, Jl Sisingamangaraja, South Jakarta, Sunday (20/8/2017) .

Retno mention related this incident, Menpora Malaysia will meet with Menpora Indonesia. The meeting was related to an apology.

"I have received a report from our Ambassador in Kuala Lumpur this morning that the Malaysian Sports Minister also wants to meet our Sports Minister to apologize, we have done everything and the point is very regrettable that happened," said Retno.

She said he did not know why the Indonesian flag could be reversed. Currently she is still communicating with RI representatives in Malaysia.

"I am in contact with the field, what is the cause of it. It is very regrettable that the incident happened and Malaysia is neighboring country closest to us ," she said.
