PT Krakatau Semen Indonesia Ready to Produce

INDUSTRY.co.id - Cilegon- PT Krakatau Steel is starting a new plant to produce a blast furnace or a metallurgical furnace that will be used as raw material for cement.

The cement processing of Krakatau Steel in cooperation with Cement Indonesia is a company called PT Krakatau Semen Indonesia.

President Director of PT Krakatau Steel (Persero) Mas Wigrantoro Roes Setiyadi said, this project comes from the input of many parties to build this factory.

"We built this in accordance with the achievement and according to the demands of the work plan," he said in Cilegon, Banten, Thursday (8/31/2017).

At this time he said only limited first pushing which is the process of making coal-based blast furnace. Processing of this plant in addition to producing blast furnace, produce gas that can be reused to Krakatau Steel factory.

"Once fulfilled, the spirit should not be filled with blast furnace, which will restore confidence to complete the project," he said.

Armed with the technology, he continued, blast furnace production is expected to be US $ 58 efficiency and monitored whether it can be higher or decreased.

He expects the results of this product, can be managed properly by Krakatau Cement Indonesia which the product of cement can be sold to Cilegon region.

"This is a joint venture worth Rp620 billion from Krakatau Steel and Cement Indonesia, I appreciate this joint venture has been profitable," he said.
