KPK Does Not Really Reject Doctor-Rohaniawan to Visit Setya Novanto

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has denied refusing the arrival of doctors and clergy who will visit suspects in the KTP-electronic (KTP-e) corruption case Setya Novanto at KPK Detention Center.

"In relation to doctors and clergy, I also asked the investigator and delivered to this day there has been no request to visit from doctors and clergy," said Head of Reporting and Publication of Commission KPK Priharsa Nugraha in KPK building, Jakarta, Tuesday (5/12 / 20017)

The KPK clarified this matter because of a statement from Novanto's attorney who had filed a doctor and a cleric, but was later denied.

"In the Act, it is stipulated that doctors and clergy can visit the detained suspects who need to be clarified is that until now there has never been a letter asking for the jenguk from the clergyman or the doctor," Priharsa said to the media crew.

Furthermore, he also asserted the KPK did not isolate Novanto and may be visited according to the applicable procedures.

"It is possible to be visited on the day of jenguk.At present, the jenguk listed on the list that has been agreed, included in the list there is a lawyer.For those who want to visit, the procedure submits the request to the investigator.Then the investigator will consider whether allowed or not ," he said.
