INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - Indonesia Corruption Watch (ICW) recommends the Golkar Party to withdraw Bambang Soesatyo's appointment as Chairman of the House and replace it with a figure who does not have a problematic track record.
"The basic prerequisite for the selection of the successor of Setya Novanto is that the member concerned has never been named or allegedly involved in corruption and other crimes and not actively undermining corruption eradication efforts," said Coordinator of Political Corruption Division ICW Donal Fariz in a release on Monday (15/1). / 2017)
According to him, the appointment of Bambang Soesatyo actually shows Golkar Party ignore the needs of the House of Representatives against a credible leader and confirmed that the party leader Airlangga Hartarto is not learning from previous neglect.
He reminded, when the Golkar Party appointed Setya Novanto as Chairman of the House, a number of parties gave warning due to bad image Setya Novanto because many called and allegedly involved in corruption cases.
ICW said that the appointment of Bambang who also sat as a member of the committee questionnaire is very contrary to the desire of Golkar to get out of the committee.
He reminded that Bambang Soesatyo has been examined several times KPK in case of corruption simulator exam driving license at Traffic Corps Police in 2013.
