Rudiantara Invites Indonesian Companies to Strengthen ASEAN Digital Economy

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - Minister of Communication and Information Rudiantara said, at the present time in the era of all-digital technology, the synergy between Indonesian companies is very important and necessary.

This is to strengthen Indonesia's digital economy in Southeast Asia. This was stated by Rudiantara at the inauguration of cooperation of PT Astra International (Astra) and Gojek Indonesia (Gojek), in Jakarta, Monday (12/2).

"Future_ is _digital space_ the industry must consolidate each other to advance the digital economy, cannot walk alone" said Rudiantara.

Therefore, Rudiantara tried all circles to push the digital economy strong in ASEAN. With so Southeast Asia has become stronger when the current advances in digital technology will enter ASEAN.

"The government is not focused on regulatory_ again," he said.

Rudiantara hopes, the mindset about business can be changed by utilizing digital technology. So that Indonesia can afford, said Rudiantara, become _leader_ in ASEAN with digital economy sector.

"I believe, hope, we become a competitive company that is competitive within and outside the country," said Rudiantara.

While the founder and _Chief Executive Officer_ Go-Jek, Nadiem Makarim, said, cooperation with Astra is done because it has the same mission that promotes Indonesia through community empowerment

 Nadiem conveyed, the cooperation is expected to improve the level of public financial income and accelerate the development of Indonesia's digital-based economy.

Then President Director of Astra, Prijono Sugiarto, said that the cooperation is an effort to increase the added value for the company and the nation by utilizing digital technology.

The form of cooperation between Astra and Gojek by combining the expertise of both companies in order to improve productivity, product and service innovation so as to create a new market based on digital technology.
