INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - Chairman of the House of Representatives Bambang Soesatyo appealed to the Government both at the central and regional levels, applying prevention of corruption practices by encouraging supervisory agencies to work optimally and focus on overseeing state finances.
"Especially since last year, the government has poured huge funds for villages," said Bambang Soesatyo through his written statement in Jakarta on Friday (16/2/2018) responding to the number of heads of the region netted by KPK for the alleged corruption.
Bamsoet, Bambang Soesatyo's close call, paid serious attention to the many heads of regions being netted OTT by the KPK ahead of the elections in conjunction in 2018.
According to him, there must be a systematic prevention effort so that corrupt practices can be prevented.
"The House of Representatives appealed to the Government to commit to prevent corruption practices, especially at the level of local government, so it is not prone to netted OTT by the KPK," he said.
According to Bamsoet, Bambang Soesatyo's call, the proper supervisory agency and the focus of overseeing budget usage are the Financial and Development Supervisory Board and the Regional Supervisory Board (BPKP and Bawasda).
The government is also advised, it should be more effective in applying Presidential Regulation (PP) No. 55 of 2012 on National Strategy for Prevention and Eradication of Long Term Corruption of 2012-2025 and Medium Term of 2012-2014.
"The implementation of PP Prevention and Eradication of Corruption as well as BPKP and Bawasda's increasingly focused task can be more pursed on corruption prevention system, both at central and regional level," he said.
Golkar Party politicians also encourage all government ministries and agencies, including local governments, to implement e-government in terms of e-planning, e-budgeting, e-procurement, e-payment and e-assets, so that everything can be controlled electronically.
Bamsoet added, there must also be programmed action as a strategy to eradicate corruption, namely through prevention, public education, and punishment as a form of punishment.
"The government is supposed to socialize to the community about the strategy of eradicating corruption in programmed action," he said.
Bamsoet also appealed that the public should also proactively oversee the performance of the government, from village heads to highest government, in using the budget in a transparent and accountable manner.
On the other hand, the former chairman of Commission III of the House of Representatives in charge of the law also appealed to the elites of political parties to internal consolidation, especially against potential cadres who are following the elections to be careful of the practice of bribery and other transactional temptations.
According to him, at every head of region and candidate for regional head, there is an electoral burden that will affect party electability in the upcoming election.
