INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - The Jakarta Composite Index (IDX) closed down 0.64% or 43 points to 6,646 at the end of the first trading session on Tuesday (20/02/2018) compared to the previous day's level at 6,689.
The JCI's depreciation is due to the decline in prices of 209 shares traded in the first trading session today. A total of 157 stocks rose in price, 110 stagnant shares and 139 shares were not transacted at all.
The total transaction value of all BEI market segments reached Rp3.57 trillion. It consists of transaction value in the Regular Market of Rp3.33 trillion, Negotiation Market worth Rp243.15 billion and Cash Market Rp5.25 million.
Total trading volume was recorded at 82.60 million lots of shares, resulting from 235,356 transactions. Foreign investors booked net sales of Rp63.78 billion with sales volume of 1.68 million lots.
Eight out of nine indexes of IDX weakened. The consumer sector index experienced the deepest decline of 1.2% or 34.56 points to 2,851. Then followed by index of basic industry sector and index of miscellaneous industry sector which each eroded 1,17% and 0,91%. (Abraham Sihombing)
