Andika Surachman Bos Tirst Travel Sentenced to 20 Years in Prison

INDUSTRY.co.id - Depok - Depok District Court judge sentenced the defendant to the First Travel Director of First Travel Andika Surachman with a sentence of 20 years in prison and the defendant of First Travel Director Anniesa Hasibuan with 18 years in prison.

"We give seven days to the defendant to determine the attitude of the verdict," said Chief Judge Sobandi when reading the decision of First Travel case in Depok District Court, West Java, Wednesday (30/5/2018)

The judges also awarded each defendant a fine of Rp10 billion and failing to comply with the sentence of eight months in prison.

Both defendants both Andika and Anissa the defendant thought about the verdict of the judges, and declared within three days will determine the attitude of refusing or accepting the verdict.

"I think about it in three days will be decided," said Andika.

While the defendant three Director of Finance First Travel Siti Nuraida alias Kiki, judges sentenced 18 years in prison with a fine of Rp 5 billion if not paid it will be replaced with a five-month jail term.

Defendant Kiki also expressed his thoughts on the judge's verdict. "I was thinking of a pack of judges," Kiki said.

The public prosecutor also stated the same thing, which is the thought of the judge's verdict in the First Travel case trial. "We also think about it before, but before seven days we will make a decision," said German prosecutor Heri.

Previously, the Public Prosecutor (Prosecutor) demanded the defendant First Travel President Director First Travel Andika Surachman and First Travel Director Anniesa Hasibuan with a sentence of 20 years in prison and a fine of Rp10 billion subsider 1 year and 4 months in prison.

"What we are proving is Article 378 and Article 3 of the Law on Money Laundering (TPPU) and the maximum penalty is 20 years in prison, as well as the maximum fine," said Heri Germany.

Andika and Anniesa were charged 20 years in jail for violating Article 378 of the Criminal Code in article 55 paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code jo article 64 paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code and Article 3 of Law Number 8/2010 on the prevention and eradication of money laundering jo article 55 paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code jo article 64 paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code.

The third defendant, namely the Finance Director of the travel company Umroh Siti Nuraidah alias Kiki with the sentence of 18 years in prison and reduced during the defendant in custody.

"Kiki is punished more lightly because she is not the main actor, the main perpetrators are Andika and Anniesa, so this we consider to alleviate," said Heri.

First Travel victims amounted to 63,310 pilgrims, with a total loss of Rp905,333,000,000.

The prosecutor prepared 96 witnesses in the hearing. Among these are national artist Syahrini and Vicky Veranita Yudhasoka aka Vicky Shu who has given his testimony at the District Court of Depok, West Java.
