Setya Novanto is Not Fulfilling Calls KPK Again

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - Speaker of the House of Representatives Setya Novanto again did not meet the summons of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) as a witness in the investigation of corruption crime procurement package implementation of Identity Card based on National Identity Number (KTP-e).

"This morning, at around 08.00 WIB, the KPK's letter received a letter from the General Secretariat and the DPR RI Board of Experts related to the calling of the Chairman of the House of Representatives, Setya Novanto as a witness to the suspect Anang Sugiana Sudihardjo in the case of KTP-e," said KPK spokesman Febri Diansyah in Jakarta, Monday (6/11/2017)

Febri explained that the letter dated November 6, 2017 signed by the Executor of Duty (Plt) of the Secretary General of the House of Representatives, delivered five points which in essence stated that Setya Novanto could not fulfill the KPK's call as witness.

"Because according to the letter the call against Setya Novanto must be with written permission from the President of the Republic of Indonesia," said Febri.

Novanto on Monday (30/10) also did not meet the KPK's call.

The KPK has also received a letter from the DPR RI signed by Setya Novanto regarding the absence of the examination.

In the letter mentioned Setya Novanto cannot attend because there are other activities in the area during the recess of Parliament.

Previously, Novanto was once appointed KPK as a suspect in the case of KPK-e project on July 17, 2017.

However, the South Jakarta District Court through Single Judge Cepi Iskandar on September 29, 2017 granted pre-trial suit Setya Novanto stating that his determination as a suspect is not in accordance with the procedure.

Anang Sugiana Sudihardjo is the Managing Director of PT Quadra Solution which is designated as a new suspect in the case of KTP-e on 27 September 2017.

PT Quadra Solution is one of the companies incorporated in the Consortium of State Printing of the Republic of Indonesia (PNRI) as the implementer of the KTP-electronic (KTP-e) project consisting of Perum PNRI, PT LEN Industri, PT Quadra Solution, PT Sucofindo and PT Sandipala Artha Son.

Anang Sugiana Sudihardjo allegedly with the purpose of benefiting himself or others or a corporation abusing the authority, opportunity or means available to him because of his position or position so that it is suspected of causing state losses of at least Rp2.3 trillion of the procurement package value of around Rp5.9 trillion procurement package of KTP-e on Kemendagri.

Indications of the role of Anang Sugiana Sudihardjo related the case among others allegedly done together with Setya Novanto, Andi Agusitnus alias Andi Narogong, Irman and Sugiharto and friends. (Ant)
