Andi Narogong Sentenced to Eight Years in Prison

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta- Businessman Andi Narogong was sentenced to 8 years imprisonment plus a fine of Rp1 billion subsider 6 months in jail plus the obligation to pay substitute money of 2.15 million US dollars and Rp1, 186 billion in cases of alleged corruption KTP-e alleged crime.

The verdict is the same as the KPK prosecutor demands that Andi Narogong be sentenced to 8 years in prison plus a fine of Rp1 billion subsider 6 months in jail plus an additional crime to pay substitute 2.15 million US dollars and Rp1, 18 billion subsider 3 years in prison.

The verdict was based on the first indictment of article 2, paragraph 1 of Law no. 31 of 1999 as amended by Law no. 20 of 2001 on the Eradication of Corruption jo article 55 paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code set by the panel of judges consisting of Jhon Halasan Butarbutar, Fragrance Tumbuwun, Emilia Subagdja, Anwar and Ansyori Saifudin.

"The burden is that the defendant's actions are against the government program that is actively combating corruption, the act of defendant is structured, systemic and massive, the three acts of the defendant harming the state finances in large quantities and still felt the impact in the midst of society where there are still residents which is difficult to get an electronic ID card.It is lightening, the defendant has returned some of the money earned from this crime, "said Ansyori judge.

The judge also approved the request of Andi Narogong to be a Justice collaborator alias JC based on KPK's decision. KEP.1536 / 01-55 / 12/2017 dated 5 December 2017 on Stipulation of Justice Collaborator in the Corruption Crime on behalf of defendant Andi Agustinus aka Andi Narongong.

"The defendant acknowledged the crimes committed and revealed the other actors so it is quite clear that the defendant was designated as a 'justice collaborator'," said Ansyori judge.

On the verdict, Andi said accept the verdict "I received the noble," said Andi Narogong who in the trial was also attended by his first wife Myrinda.

"Because our client says it has received so we can’t say anything else," said Andi's lawyer, Samsul Huda.

Meanwhile KPK general prosecutor Eva Yustisiana said KPK was still thinking about the verdict. (Ant)
