Philippine Air Force Accept Two Unit Aircrafts NC212i from PT DI

INDUSTRY.co.id - Philippines - Taking place in Hangar Haribon, Clark Air Base, Philippines, Defense Minister Ryamizard Ryacudu witnessed the handover of 2 (two) units of NC212i aircraft from PT Dirgantara Indonesia to the Philippine Air Force on Tuesday (26/6). The handover was made by President Director of PT Dirgantara Indonesia Elfien Goentoro to the Department of Defense of the Philippines to be submitted to the end users of the Philippine Air Force represented by the Philippines Philipina Ltgen Galileo Gerard R Kintanar JR AFP.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Indonesia (LBBP RI) to the Republic of the Philippines Accredited to the Republic of Marshall Islands and the Republic of Palau, HE. Sinyo Harry Sarundajang was also present witnessed the handover of 2 (two) units of the Philippine Air Force NC212i aircraft.
The aircraft with the registration code AX-2119 and AX-2120 successfully made a ferry flight from Husein Sastranegara International Airport Bandung to Clark Air Base, Mabalacat City, Philippines on June 8, 2018 and landed safely on June 14, 2018. The route taken is Husein Sastranegara, Bandung - Syamsudinnoor, Banjarmasin - Juwata, Tarakan - Puerto Princessa, Philippines and end the trip at Clark Air Base, Mabalacat City, Pampanga, Philippina.Pswt NC212i PT DI
The two units of the NC212i aircraft are the Acquisition Project of Lightweight Flyway Aircraft under the Philippine Armed Forces Modernization Program. The presence of CN212i aircraft within the Philippine Air Force is expected to enhance Philippine Air Force's preparedness and capability in support of missions such as territorial defense, security and stability, humanitarian assistance, disaster relief and international defense and security.
President Director of PT DI hopes that the delivery of 2 (two) units of this CN212i aircraft can meet the needs of the Philippine Air Force and has an important role to support the Philippine Air Force's operations. In the end it can strengthen the relations between Indonesia and the Philippines through a solid G2G scheme.
This CN212i aircraft is a plane owned by the Philippine Air Force and is fully manufactured by PTDI. Until now, PT DI has produced 114 NC212i units. Since October 2011, PTDI is the only aircraft industry in the world that produces NC212i aircraft, since October 2011.
