INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - The B20 usage expansion program proclaimed by the government has been a blessing for the issuer of oil palm plantations, PT Tunas Baru Lampung Tbk (TBLA), which received a contract for ordering biodiesel from PT Pertamina (Persero) and a Chinese company for 110,000 tons by the end of the year.
"Currently the company has pocketed biodiesel orders from Pertamina totaling 90,000 tons and 20,000 tons of biodiesel from a Chinese company that will be sent in two stages. The development that we feel is interesting; we used to rely only on one single buyer, Pertamina, but as of July. Order 20,000 tons from China, "Deputy President Director of Tunas Baru Lampung, Sudarmo Tasmin, told the press in Jakarta, Monday (09/10/2018).
Sudarmo assesses that the government's B20 mandatory policy has caused the company's paik utilization to increase from the current amount of 40%. Tunas Baru Lampung currently has a biodiesel production capacity of 300,000 tons per year from the company's biodiesel paik in Lampung.
"If in the future the demand for biodiesel will increase sharply, the company is also likely to optimize the company's biodiesel production capacity in Surabaya and Palembang," he said.
The increase in biodiesel orders, Sudarmo continued resulted in an increase in the company's biodiesel sales contribution from only 9% to 15% to 20% and increase the selling price of CPO.
"At present, the company's biggest sales contribution still comes from the palm oil and refined sugar business," he said.
This year, the company targets revenues of Rp9 trillion until the first semester of this year, Tunas Baru Lampung has recorded a realization of revenue of Rp4 trillion with a net profit of Rp352 billion.
