INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - PT Bank BCA Syariah (BCA Syariah) is recognized as The Best Performance Bank for Sharia Bank category in Business Indonesia Financial Award (BIFA) 2017.

"BCA Syariah is continuously striving to improve performance in a consistent and quality manner, achieving a positive performance in line with customer confidence, shareholder support and commitment to deliver excellent products and services," said Syariah President Director John Kosasih in Jakarta on Thursday (29 / 8/2017).

BIFA is an award given by Harian Bisnis Indonesia to several financial institutions in Indonesia, including banking, insurance and multifinance. Especially for banking, awards are given to the most efficient and best performing banks based on business class category, Sharia Bank and Regional Development Bank (BPD).

Performance indicators measured in the "The Best Performance Bank" rating are Third Party Fund Growth, Nett Financing, and Profitability (ROA) in 2016.

According to him based on the assessment of these three indicators, BCA Syariah succeeded in achieving the best position in the category of Bank Syariah.

He noted that as per December 2016, BCA Syariah booked net profit of Rp36.8 billion, or grew 46.6% year on year (yoy).

The increase in corporate performance continued with an increase in assets in the first half of 2017 by 25.0% or Rp5.43 trillion, financing portfolio increased 21.1% yoy to Rp 3.89 trillion, and growth in deposits increased 31.8% yoy to Rp4.25 trillion.

With this positive achievement, in the first half of 2017 Bank BCA Syariah booked a profit (before tax) of Rp.26.84 billion, or an increase of 40% yoy. "We are optimistic to achieve a targeted profit growth of 15-20% yoy by the end of 2017," said John Kosasih.
